The NLF Score

What the NLF Score actually tells you

An educational self-assessment. Not a credit rating.

The NLF Score answers one question: are you on track for the goal you set, in the timeline you chose?

It's built entirely from what you enter — your income, expenses, savings, and debt — and measured against your own stated goal, not anyone else's average. The number weighs five things together: how your goal lines up with what you can set aside, what you've saved, what survives the month, how your debt is structured, and the habits you told us about. Nothing more, nothing less.

The score is calculated the same way every time, from the same rules — never generated, never a guess dressed up as a number. It doesn't recommend where to invest or what to buy, and we don't sell anything to anyone based on it. We're paid only by the people who use it, which means it only has to work for them.

Where you land — and what to do about it — is entirely yours to decide.

What it finds

The costs that stopped being visible.

Not overspending. Not a lack of discipline. Ordinary, reasonable costs that were set up once, are still running, and haven't been looked at since.

Illustrative sample — not your result, and not an average

One audit surfaced ₹3,175 a month

Subscriptions still billing, no longer used₹1,240
A higher-rate balance being paid at the minimum₹ 890
An overlapping cover, paid twice over₹ 645
Fees on an account that no longer fit₹ 400
Per month₹3,175

These figures are made up to show the shape of a result. Your audit reads only the numbers you enter, and reports only what those numbers say.

The point isn't the amount. It's that none of it was hidden — it was just never counted in one place.

Where you land

Five reads, one direction.

Your score comes with a plain description of where you are right now. It is a starting position, not a verdict — and it is designed to move.

01

Fresh Start

The beginning of the picture. Little is set up yet, and nothing is working against you.

02

Foundation Builder

The basics are going in. The structure underneath the goal is still being laid.

03

Course Corrector

The pieces are there but pulling against each other. Small changes move this one the most.

04

On-Track Builder

The numbers point the right way. The work now is holding the line and not losing ground.

05

Goal Architect

The plan and the numbers agree. The goal is being built deliberately, not hoped for.

Most people don't stay where they start.
